Paihia Shuttle – Eastbound Rides Only

Our scheduled shuttle departs from the Paihia Maritime Building at 8.30am and transfers you—and your own bike, if required—to our Kaikohe base.

From Kaikohe, you’ll cycle east towards Kawakawa and Ōpua. At the end of your ride, we’ll return you to the Paihia Maritime Building from either Ōpua or Kawakawa.

This service is available for eastbound rides only and is subject to a minimum of two passengers. Choose Paihia as your start point when booking. Advance booking is essential.

Cycle–Train Connection

When the train is operating, cycle approximately 3km beyond Kawakawa to Taumārere Station. You’ll load your bike onto the train and enjoy a scenic journey alongside the Waikare Estuary to Whangae Station. From there, ride the final 4km to Ōpua.

The train connection must be booked separately. Check the current timetable and select a connection that allows you to meet the Top Trail shuttle from Ōpua.

Return Shuttle

Meet the Top Trail shuttle at:

4.15pm – Ōpua Marina Carpark
26 Baffin Street, Ōpua Marina

You’ll arrive back at the Paihia Maritime Building at approximately 4.30pm.

If the train is not operating, your scheduled pick-up will be at 3.00pm from the Te Hononga Centre carpark in Kawakawa. If the train is delayed, our shuttle team will monitor this and wait where practicable.
