1 Day with E Bike - Kaikohe HQ - downhill to either coast

Full day bike hire - drive to Kaikohe where we have safe car storage at our depot or stay the night in Kaikohe.

Meet at our depot  where our staff will fit you out with your bike and give you all the information you need including trail maps  Helmets included

You have the option to cycle 42kms West to Horeke / Mangungu OR  a slightly shorter option - East to Kawakawa/ Opua, both are mainly downhill.

We may not have both options every day but please let us know your preference at the time of booking.

Shuttles will pick you up from either Horeke / Mangungu Mission OR  Kawakawa / Opua and return you  to Kaikohe

Western cycle has a 3pm shuttle pick up from just below Mangungu Mission

Eastern cycle has a 4.15pm shuttle pick up from Opua and this has a 30 minute train link that you need to book yourself - Book train here

There are some days where there is no train available and on these days the Eastern shuttle will be 3pm from Kawakawa - Te Hongonga centre . You can see availability on either our shuttle booking product or the vintage train website https://bayofislandsvintagerailway.org.nz/
